Goodbye, emptywishes.net.
Yes, the time has come, and after four years of complicity, we bid thee farewell.
In all honesty, I think we grew apart. After all, the teenage angsty URL can only drag on so long after your teens. Hell, I was twenty when I bought the damn thing, so I was a bit behind schedule.
However, fear not my friends, for you will now be able to join us at our new location,
francophony.net
.
Unfortunately, I underestimated the amount of time necessary, and therefore, you may have to content yourselves to watching the hunk of cheese for a couple of days, but I've kicked into turbo-mode, so you should see the new site very shortly.
Thanks to one and all. Bye, EW. You were my first domain, and you'll always hold a special place in my heart.

As of this morning, I have the right to work in France! Raise the roof people!
Now comes that hard part... you know, finding a job. Expect many, many posts to come out of the whole experience.
Oh, and I am also now the proud owner of a library card. In fact, I walked out the city building with my papers, crossed the street, and got that library card right away. Perhaps you should also look for many book reviews?

Someone decided to give us a little boost in the holiday spirit department last night by breaking both of David's side-view mirrors. And of course, this revelation caused David to miss his train, leaving him to drive the three and a half hour round trip to work today, mirrorless.
Merry-fucking-Christmas to you too.

I've been trying really hard to get into the
christmas spirit
. I did some shopping. I admired the town's festive lights. I wandered around the christmas market. Yet, somehow, I'm still not quite there yet.
I've decided to really attack this head-on by starting up the oven and getting to making multiple batches of xmas cookies to gift to the friends and in-laws. While I have a few recipes my mom sent over a couple years ago, I'm always looking for new ones (preferably relatively-easy ones, because when one is making multiple batches of multiple types of cookies, the faster the better), and so, I ask you... what are your favorites?
Feel free to send links and/or emails (myname-at-mydomain.net). Share your Xmas cheer (and in turn, perhaps I will do the same with those recipes my mom sent over).

Have you been having major issues trying to find that perfect gift for someone on your list?
How about the ghost of a
mean grandfather
? And hell, they'll even throw in his cane to avoid him tumbling down the staircase!
